Looking for a big, gentle, freckle-faced girl? Then Hershey may be the one for you. She is a purebred rough coat [long haired] Saint Bernard with a beautiful deep red mantle coat and soft, dark brown eyes. Hershey loves everyone she meets and is great with kids -- even little kids. She is reliably housetrained and will tell you when she needs to go outside to potty. She is very strong but very gentle. She will sit politely and wait for treats and takes them gently from your hand. An all around wonderful Saint. She weighs about 125 pounds.
If you've not lived with a Saint before, please research the breed before you apply to adopt Hershey. Like all Saints, she WILL drool! She needs daily exercise, consisting of moderate walks and short runs, to stay healthy and fit.
Hershey is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas and dewormed. She was also groomed and bathed on February 26.
Approximate Age: 2-3 years
Adoption Fee: $350 .

Special Needs: Hershey has tested positive for heartworms but will not need heartworm treatment. Instead, she MUST be given heartworm preventative every month for the rest of her life. The vet tells us that if given the heartworm preventative for 12 months, she should test negative at the end of one year.
