Animal Services
Homeless Animal Aid
This is one of our largest, and most expensive programs. The P.A.W.S. Foster Home and Matchmaker programs save the lives of hundreds of homeless pets each year.
P.A.W.S takes in abandoned and unwanted pets from a variety of sources, including animal control shelters. Often the animals we take are in need of special veterinary care, nurturing or training before they can be adopted into new forever homes.
P.A.W.S. "Matchmaker" volunteers conduct adoption events 2-3 times a month to find homes for our foster pets.
Operation Fix-It Program
P.A.W.S. hots a low cost spay/neuter clinic for cats & dogs on the first Thursday of every month. We also provide free counseling and educational programs about pet over-population and the need to spay & neuter. For more information click here
Pet Food Pantry
Thanks to our corporate partners - Purina, Wal-Mart and Tractor Supply - and to individual donors,
P.A.W.S. is able to provide more than 10,000 pounds of pet food annually to Hancock County pet owners who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties and whose pets would otherwise go hungry.
Donated food can be dropped off at the Greenfield Tractor Supply Store, 1645 N. State Street, during its normal business hours
Elder Assistance
We provide free transportation for the pets of elderly or handicapped residents of Hancock County to and from the veterinarian and/or groomer.
