This sweet boy is off to a rough start. He was surrendered to animal control at the age of 8 mos. and it was apparent his humans had failed him at the time! As a matter of fact- they failed him so poorly that at the age of 8 mos he was facing euthanasia because of his lack of any type of training, obedience, or etiquette. PAWS quickly pulled this sweet soul and we've been working with him for about 4 weeks now. He has come a long way! Bolt is very good with other dogs- he loves to play but he is NOT GOOD with cats, for the same reason... he loves to play but he is just too rough with them. He is very energetic and would absolutely make a wonderful running or hiking dog! As a matter of fact- he would probably love swimming as well, although we have not tried that. Bolt is very loving, but he can be very stubborn too. He is HIGHLY intelligent- it does not take him long to learn anything at all, however we are working on using his good manners at all times- not just when he wants too. Bolt will definitely need puppy training to be the best boy he can be. Bolt does enjoy his humans, he does enjoy attention and he will definitely require a fenced in yard! BOLT IS KENNEL TRAINED AND POTTY TRAINED- THE HARD PART IS DONE! If you are interested in adopting this darling young man, please go to www.pawshancock.org and complete an adoption application.
