Print an adoption flyer for Pearl!
When good Samaritans came across Pearl she was severely dehydrated and sun burnt. They found her in the middle of their yard scared and crying pitifully for help. They gave her some water and what food they could find and she gobbled it up. The poor thing was starving. When they contacted PAWS they explained they had big dogs that were not used to cats so for her safety they could not keep her. They also told us where they live there are very few houses around. After a full vet examination we discovered Pearl had been spayed. All of this told us that at one time Pearl had been someone's pet. For reasons we'll never know she was abandoned and left to fend for herself. Something our vet explained she wouldn't have been able to do as she couldn't even find food or shelter. She was found in the nick of time.
Now Pearl has been living the good life with a foster family and has been tested and brought up to date on all her vaccines. She also has a microchip now so she'll never be lost again. Her sun burnt body has healed completely and has had no ill affects. Her foster family discovered she is a very affectionate little gal who is friendly towards both children and adults. We're not sure how she would be around dogs as the foster family did not have any. She would do better in a home without other cats, though. Eh, Pearl is an older gal. SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE LIKES! :) Pearl LOVES to sleep in bed with you if you'll let her and doesn't mind being picked up. She likes to be close to her humans and will even snuggle for a little bit. Oh, and Pearl also loves her canned food! She becomes a silly girl when she gets some yummy wet food! So, will you be Pearl's forever home?!
