Volunteer Spotlight: Shelby Gibson

For the past year, Shelby Gibson has been making a difference at P.A.W.S. Hancock, driven by her deep love for dogs. That passion is what first inspired her to get involved—and it continues to shine through in the care and dedication she brings to her role.

As a pet owner herself, Shelby understands just how meaningful the bond between animals and their people can be. At the rescue, her favorite role is fostering puppies, where she provides them with a safe, loving environment as they prepare for their forever homes. Through fostering, Shelby plays a vital part in giving these young dogs the best possible start.

The most rewarding part of her volunteer work is seeing her fosters find loving homes. Watching them begin their next chapter is what fuels her passion and reminds her why she volunteers.

Shelby’s compassion and commitment make her an important part of the P.A.W.S. Hancock team, and the puppies she fosters are lucky to have her guiding them on their journey home.

Shelby, thank you so much for the life-saving work you do for P.A.W.S. Without fosters like you, our puppies wouldn't have the chance to grow, heal, and find the loving homes they deserve.

If you are interested in becoming a foster and would like to learn more or apply, feel free to check out our website here. We always need fosters, and we would love to have you join the P.A.W.S. family.
